Creating TextView with clickable links in Android

Did you ever want to display a TextView on Android which includes clickable HTML-links? I know I did. If you also wanted that, then I bet you struggled in finding a solution.

At first I thought, this can't be too hard, because I remember the TextView having a property linksClickable. But just setting this property to true won't work. Here are two methods how you can solve the problem described:

Release: Planning Poker eXtreme for Windows 8

My third app for Windows 8 is ready to be downloaded: Planning Poker eXtreme. It's a simple implementation of the well-known planning poker or scum poker technique for estimating the effort of user stories in software development.

Bing picture of the day

Since I own the Windows 8 tablet Asus VivoTab RT (= ARM version only), I of course browsed Microsoft's Windows store more often. You know how it is: you need and app for that and want an app for that ;)

Simple Tasks for Windows 8/RT

Yesterday I announced my first Windows 8 app and today I'm proud to tell you about my second app. As with the Geocaching Helper, this app was already approved some days ago, but I didn't have time to blog about it.

My second Windows Store app for Windows 8 is called Simple Tasks and also available in the Windows Store. It is a very simple tasks app, where you can organize your tasks in named task groups. The tasks themselves only have a name, optional notes as well as an optional due date. You can of course also mark task (or todo) items as completed or not.
Task items are color coded to show done items (green), overdue items (red) and future items (orange), which can be seen on the screenshot.

Geocaching Helper for Windows 8/RT available

It's time to officially announce it: Microsoft approved my Windows 8/RT version of the Geocaching Helper. Another platform you can enjoy the tools that help you solve multi- and puzzle-caches.

The app features the icons you already know from the Windows Phone 7 version. Currently some features are missing, so not all tools are available on Win8. But don't worry, the next version will feature some more tools that aren't even available on other platforms yet ;)
